Turkish foreign minister meets UN General Assembly president, US envoy in New York

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met Khalilur Rahman, president of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, and received US Ambassador to the UN Michael Waltz in New York, the Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.

The meetings took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, according to the ministry.

It announced Fidan’s meeting with Rahman in a post on US social media platform X.

No further details about their meeting were immediately available.

Fidan also received Waltz at the Turkish House in New York, the ministry said.
