Turkish economic growth of 3.7% in Q1 projected

ISTANBUL

An Anadolu survey found that the Turkish economy is projected to have grown 3.74% annually in the first quarter of this year.

The Turkish Statistical Institute is set to release official first-quarter GDP figures on Wednesday.

Among 19 economists surveyed by Anadolu, GDP growth forecasts ranged between 2.5% and 5.5%.

Their expectations for year-end GDP growth rates varied between 2.5% and 3.5% – the average was 2.93%.

The Turkish economy grew 7.6% in the first quarter of 2022, and 3.5% in the last quarter.
