Turkish charity distributes aid packages in Nigeria

ABUJA, Nigeria

A Turkish charity on Thursday distributed aid packages to 1,000 families in Nigeria as part of efforts during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Turkiye Diyanet Foundation official in Nigeria, Hasan Kader, told Anadolu Agency that the aid was distributed in four regions in the capital, Abuja, as well as in Nasarawa state.

“We share the joy of Ramadan with our brothers and sisters here,” said Kader, who added that the donations by Turkey were delivered to those in need.

Kader thanked the Turkish people for the help and stressed Turkey’s support for Africans.
