Turkish central government’s debt stock at $253.65B

ISTANBUL

The Turkish central government’s debt stock was at 8.65 trillion Turkish liras ($253.65 billion) as of the end of September, the Treasury and Finance Ministry said on Monday.

The domestic debt stock was at 4.37 trillion Turkish liras ($127.55 billion).

Foreign debt stock was at 4.27 trillion liras ($124.64 billion).

While 41% of the total debt stock was in Turkish liras, the rest was in various foreign currencies.

On a yearly basis, overall debt stock was up 44% in September.
