Developed by national and original Baykar Technologies Turkey’s first flying vehicle Cezeri, he has successfully completed initial flight tests. The pre-prototype 230 kg, 507 lbs, designed and manufactured by Turkish engineers, rose 10 meters (32 feet) in flight tests.
Flight tests of Cezeri the first flying vehicle, conducted under the direction of Baykar Technologies Technical Manager Selcuk Bayraktar, started on Friday, September 11, 2020.
In the first tests, Cezeri, took off on the safety ropes and then took off without a rope upon the successful progress of the test flights with night safety ropes connecting September 14, 2020 to September 15, 2020.
Cezeri the flying vehicle, which flies completely autonomously and has an intelligent flight system, successfully completed two different flights on the same night.
In the second test flight held without safety ropes at the Baykar National Production Center on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, Cezeri flying vehicle rose 10 meters (32 feet) from the ground.
The car is named after Ismail al-Jazari, a renowned 12th-century Muslim engineer and polymath.
Baykar Technologies, established in 1984, produces armed and non-armed drones, control systems, simulators, and avionics systems.
