Trump says considering banking sanctions, tariffs on Russia until final peace deal reached

WASHINGTON

US President Donald Trump said on Friday that he is considering to impose more sanctions on Russia until a ceasefire deal is reached with Ukraine.

“Based on the fact that Russia is absolutely “pounding” Ukraine on the battlefield right now, I am strongly considering large scale Banking Sanctions, Sanctions, and Tariffs on Russia until a Cease Fire and FINAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT ON PEACE IS REACHED,” Trump said on Truth Social.

Trump also called on Russia and Ukraine to “get to the table right now, before it is too late.”
