Treatment of 1,214 quake victims brought to Istanbul continues

As many as 1,214 people who were injured in the deadly earthquakes which rocked southern Türkiye two weeks ago are getting treatment in hospitals across Istanbul.

Some 10,867 earthquake victims were brought to Istanbul by planes belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces and Turkish Health Ministry. A total of 9,653 of them were discharged after receiving treatment in the province.

More than 41,000 people have been killed and over 108,000 injured in two powerful earthquakes that rocked southern Türkiye on Feb. 6, the latest official figures show. A fresh earthquake of magnitude 6.4 on Feb. 20 in Samandag, Hatay also killed at least six people.
