Tottenham confirms Ben Davies unavailable for Premier League game due to injury

ISTANBUL

Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury, manager Ange Postecoglou confirmed on Friday.

“Davies is ruled out, unfortunately had a setback in training so he’s out for a couple of weeks,” Postecoglou told a press conference.

“It’s the same injury. He tried to come back in training but it didn’t work out,” he added.

Davies, 31, will not be available for Sunday’s Premier League match against the Wolverhampton Wanderers at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Welsh defender missed each of the Spurs’ last six matches with a hamstring problem which he picked up in a Dec. 5 loss to Bournemouth.

He has made only 11 appearances for Tottenham.
