The man climbing The New York Times building is detained

NEW YORK, NY

According to the police, the man managed to get to the 6th floor of the building before he was caught.

In the published videos, a person said, “I don’t believe it, he looks at us and laughs. This may only be possible in New York. ” it is heard saying.

More than one person had tried to climb the skyscraper in the past. In 2008, two men managed to scratch the building and reached its roof, making it to the 5th floor of the building before a homeless man was arrested in 2012.

Last summer, protesters in the Extinction Rebellion group managed to climb up part of the building to hang banners protesting climate change.
