ANKARA
UAE Team Emirates’ Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogacar on Saturday won Stage 20 at the 2023 Tour de France before Sunday’s final stage.
The Tour’s 20th stage was held on a 133.5-kilometer (82.9-mile) track between France’s Belfort and Le Markstein as Pogacar completed it with time of three hours, 27 minutes, and 18 seconds to claim victory.
AG2R Citroen Team’s Austrian cyclist Felix Gall was second, while Jumbo-Visma’s Danish athlete Jonas Vingegaard came third in Le Markstein.
Defending champion Vingegaard is leading the 2023 Tour de France general ranking.
The time gap between Vingegaard and his nearest rival Pogacar, who was the 2020 and 2021 winner, is seven minutes and 29 seconds before the final stage.
The world’s most prestigious cycling race will end on Sunday on Paris’ Champs-Elysees after Stage 21.
