Syrian civilian killed in regime shelling in Aleppo

IDLIB, Syria

A Syrian civilian was killed and four others were injured on Saturday in a regime shelling in the northern Aleppo province, according to local sources.

Regime forces stationed in Aleppo’s western countryside launched the attack on the town of Atarib in western Aleppo, the sources with the White Helmets civil defense agency said.

Syria has been embroiled in a vicious civil war since early 2011, when the Bashar al-Assad regime cracked down on pro-democracy protests with unexpected ferocity.

Hundreds of thousands of people have been killed and more than 10 million others displaced, according to UN estimates.
