The Swedish government will follow a court decision and refuse Türkiye’s request for the extradition of a terror suspect, local media reported on Thursday.
Türkiye was seeking the extradition of a man in his 50s accused of involvement in terrorist acts, according to the Swedish news agency TT.
The Swedish Supreme Court rejected the request last November since the suspect is a Swedish citizen.
During a meeting last week, the Swedish Cabinet decided it will comply with the court’s order and refuse Ankara’s request, the report added.
