Survey expects Türkiye to post current account surplus in September

ISTANBUL

Türkiye is likely to post a current account surplus of $2.72 billion in September, an Anadolu survey projected on Friday.

Estimates from a group of 10 economists ranged between $800 million and $3.3 billion in surpluses.

The current account balance saw a surplus of $4.3 billion in August.

The Turkish Central Bank will release its official balance of payments data on Tuesday.

The current account balance is expected to post a deficit of $11.87 billion at the end of 2024, with economists’ estimates ranging between $6 billion and $17 billion.
