Title contenders Manchester City will visit eighth-place Manchester United on Sunday in an English Premier League derby at Old Trafford.
Reigning champions Man City, who are in the second position with 21 points in the league led by Tottenham Hotspur, who collected 26 points in 10 matches.
Tottenham beat Crystal Palace 2-1 in a Friday away match to extend the gap against Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Like Man City, Arsenal have 21 points, and Liverpool have 20 and are fourth in the standings.
Erling Haaland is the 2023-24 Premier League’s top scorer as the Norwegian forward scored nine goals.
Julian Alvarez, Man City’s Argentine forward, had four goals and is one of the key players for his team.
Manchester United is led by Scott McTominay as the Scottish midfielder scored three goals this season.
Man Utd’s Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes had two goals for the Red Devils.
Manchester United have 15 points in nine matches and are in lower ranks.
Meanwhile, it will be the first derby for Danish forward Rasmus Hojlund (Manchester United) and Belgian winger Jeremy Doku (Manchester City).
Hojlund, 20, left Italy’s Atalanta, and Doku, 21, left France’s Rennes to move to the Premier League in the summer of 2023.
Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo were injured Manchester United players. Aaron Wan-Bissaka returned to training after his injury.
Jadon Sancho is another Man Utd absentee for “a squad discipline issue” in September.
Man City star Kevin De Bruyne will be ineligible for the derby because of a partial muscle tear injury, and defender Manuel Akanji is suspended for the match as he was shown a red card against Brighton on Oct. 21.
The Manchester derby will start at 1530 GMT.
