Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Sept. 11

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 3,000 Turkish liras between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1400 – 1800 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,856.97 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Wednesday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 5% to around 1.69 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,490.81 liras and 2,500.68 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1400 – 1800 GMT), while the lowest rate was set at 1,999.01 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT).

US$1 equals 34.05 liras at 2.19 p.m. local time (1119 GMT) on Tuesday.
