Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday Nov. 4

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 3,000 Turkish liras between 9 a.m and 11 a.m, and between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. local time (1100 – 1700 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,054 liras at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Wednesday’s electricity market shows an increase of 3.9% to around 1.77 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,712.22 liras and 2,755.02 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time (1200 – 1500 GMT), while the lowest rate at 1,937.79 liras at 3 a.m. local time (0000 GMT).

US$1 equals 34.75 liras at 2.24 p.m. local time (1124 GMT) on Tuesday.
