Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Jan. 31

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 2,700 Turkish liras between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time (1400-1500 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,000 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Wednesday’s electricity market shows an increase of 3.2% to around 1.3 billion Turkish liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 1,868.72 liras and 1,925.50 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 2,649.01 liras at 5 p.m. local time (1400 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 899.99 liras at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).

US$1 equals 30.36 liras at 2.21 p.m. local time (1121 GMT) on Tuesday.
