Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, August 16

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 2,700 Turkish liras between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m local time ( 0500 – 0800 GMT), and between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (10.00 – 1800 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,884.95 liras at 7 a.m. (0400 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Tuesday’s electricity market showed an increase of 5.5% to around 1.56 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,502.72 liras and 2,526.94 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 2,700 liras between 7 p.m and 8 p.m. (1600 – 1700 GMT), while the lowest rate was confirmed as 1,847.49 liras at 7 a.m. (0400 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 27.06 liras at 2.20 p.m. local time (1120 GMT) on Tuesday.
