Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, July 16

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,000 Turkish liras at 3 p.m., and between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. (1400-1900 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,474.70 liras at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Tuesday’s electricity market shows an increase of 21.3% to around 1.81 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,646.98 liras and 2,679.60 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. (1600-1800 GMT), while the lowest rate was 1,050 liras at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

US$1 equals 33.05 liras at 2.08 p.m. local time (1108 GMT) on Monday.
