Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Jan. 28

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,000 Turkish liras between 8 a.m. and between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time (0500 and between 1400 -1600 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate is set at 1,423.20 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Tuesday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 9.6% to 1.63 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,412.85 liras and 2,419.73 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. and between 4 p.m and 9 p.m local time (0500-0600 and 1300-1800 GMT) , while the lowest was set at 1,923.10 liras between 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 35.73 liras at 2.00 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Monday.
