Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Dec. 31

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,000 Turkish liras at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., and 5 p.m. local time (0500, 0600, 1400), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate is set at 1,885 liras between 3 a.m. local time (0000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Tuesday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 5.7% to around 1.49 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,456.48 liras and 2,483.89 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras at 9 a.m. 10 a.m. and between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. local time (0600, 0700, 1100-1400 GMT), while the lowest rate was set at 1,424.09 liras between 2 a.m. local time (2300 GMT).

US$1 equals 35.32 liras at 2.27 p.m. local time (1127 GMT) on Monday.
