Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Dec. 24

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,000 Turkish liras at between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time (1300 – 1500 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,424.09 liras at 3 a.m. local time (0000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Tuesday’s electricity market shows an decrease of 1.92% to around 1.56 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,400.71 liras and 2,470.31 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., and between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. local time (0500, 0600 and 1200 – 1400 GMT), while the lowest rate at 1,799.98 liras at 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. local time (0200 and 1600 GMT).

US$1 equals 35.22 liras at 2.22 p.m. local time (1122 GMT) on Monday.
