Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Dec. 17

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,000 Turkish liras at between 8 a.m., 9 a.m. and between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. local time (0500, 0600 and 1300-1500 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,799.98 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Tuesday’s electricity market shows an increase of 0.29% to around 1.64 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,558.74 liras and 2.584.65 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras at between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time (0600-0800 and 1000-1500 GMT), while the lowest rate was set at 1,425 liras at 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. local time (0000 and 0100 GMT).

US$1 equals 34.97 liras at 2.20 p.m. local time (1120 GMT) on Monday.
