Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Dec. 12

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 2,700.00 Turkish liras at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. local times (0600, 0700 and 1100-1600 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,999.99 liras at 3 a.m. local time (0000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Tuesday’s electricity market shows an increase of %6 to around 1.62 billion liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,500.46 liras and 2,527.30 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 2,700.00 Turkish liras between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., and between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. local time (0600 – 0800 and 1000 – 1600 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 1,499.98 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).

US$1 equals 29 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Monday.
