Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, August 22

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 2,700 Turkish liras between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. local time (1600–1700 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,684.99 liras at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Monday’s electricity market showed an increase of 1.8% to around 1.44 billion liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,329.60 liras and 2,361.49 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 2,700 liras between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1300–1800 GMT), while the lowest rate was confirmed at 1,508.35 liras at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 27.16 liras at 2.22 p.m. local time (1122 GMT) on Monday.
