Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, August 1

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 2,700 Turkish liras at 8 p.m. (1700 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,500 liras at 7 a.m. (0400 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Monday’s electricity market showed an increase of 10.4% to around 1.28 billion liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,267.72 liras and 2,296.12 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 2,599.99 liras at 7 p.m. (1600 GMT), while the lowest rate was confirmed at 1,650 liras at 5 a.m. (0200 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 26.96 liras at 2.23 p.m. local time (1123 GMT) on Monday.
