Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, Oct. 19

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 2,700 Turkish liras between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. local time and between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. local time (0500–0600 GMT and 1300–1700 GMT), according to official figures on Wednesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,685 liras at 3 a.m. local time (0000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Thursday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 0.7% to 1.21 billion liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,405.68 liras and 2,419.39 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Wednesday was set at 2,700 liras between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. local time (1200–1400 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined at 2,057.74 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).

US$1 equals 28.01 liras at 2.00 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Wednesday.
