Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, May 4

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 2,600 Turkish between at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. (0500 – 0800 GMT) and between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. local time (1100 – 2000 GMT), according to official figures on Wednesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,400 liras at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Wednesday’s electricity market showed an increase of 14% to 1.19 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,358.73 liras and 2,387.74 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Wednesday was set 2,600 liras at 9 a.m. (0600 GMT) and between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time (1400 – 1900 GMT), while the lowest rate was set at 1,248.01 liras at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 19.48 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Wednesday.
