Spot market electricity prices for Sunday, Oct. 30

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Sunday will be 4,800 Turkish liras at 4,5 and 7 p.m. local time (1300,1400 and 1600 GMT), according to official figures on Saturday.

The lowest rate is set as 250 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Saturday’s electricity market showed an increase of 21.6% to 963.64 million liras compared to Thursday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,463.90 liras and 2,557.57 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Friday was set as 44,600 Turkish liras at 19 p.m. local time (0400 GMT) while the lowest rate is set as 300.01 liras at 12 a.m. local time (0900 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 18.58 liras at 2.00 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Saturday.
