Spot market electricity prices for Sunday, May 4

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Sunday will be 3,400 Turkish liras at 8 p.m. local time (1700 GMT), according to official figures released on Saturday.

The lowest rate is set at 14.03 liras at 11 a.m. local time (0800 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Sunday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 23% to around 920.37 million liras compared to Saturday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 1,770.61 liras and 1,760.99 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one megawatt hour for Saturday was set at 3,400 Turkish liras between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1600-1800 GMT), while the lowest was at 249.99 liras at 3 p.m. local time (1500 GMT).

US$1 equals 38.58 liras at 2.15 p.m. local time (1115 GMT) on Saturday.
