Spot market electricity prices for Sunday, June 4

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Sunday will be 1,199.99 Turkish liras at 12 a.m. to 2 a.m. and 7 p.m. (2100-2300, 1600 GMT), according to official figures on Saturday.

The lowest rate was set at 99.99 liras at 12 p.m. (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Friday’s electricity market showed a decrease of 58.7% to around 281.51 million liras compared to Thursday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 706.14 liras and 695.52 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Saturday was set at 2,299.98 Turkish liras at 9 p.m. (1800 GMT),), while the lowest rate was determined as 750 liras at 12 p.m. (0900 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 20.96 liras at 2.11 p.m. local time (1111 GMT) on Saturday.
