Spot market electricity prices for Sunday, July 14

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Sunday will be 3,000 Turkish liras at 9 p.m. (1800 GMT), according to official figures on Saturday.

The lowest rate was set at 500.01 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Sunday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 25.6% to around 1.24 billion liras compared to Saturday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,045.69 liras and 2,067.62 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Saturday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras at 12 a.m, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. (2100 GMT on Thursday, and 1600 and 1800 GMT), while the lowest rate was 1,590 liras at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

US$1 equals 33.05 liras at 2.47 p.m. local time (1147 GMT) on Friday.
