Spot market electricity prices for Sunday, Feb. 19

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Sunday will be 3,650 Turkish liras at 6 p.m. (1500 GMT), according to official figures on Saturday.

The lowest rate was set at 750 liras at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. (0800 and 0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Saturday’s electricity market showed a decrease of 34.4% to 881.1 million liras compared to Friday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,034.91 liras and 2,037.53 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Friday was set as 3,650 Turkish liras at 6 p.m. and at 7 p.m. (1500 and 1600 GMT) while the lowest rate was determined at 2,000.01 liras at 4 p.m. (1300 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 18.86 liras at 2.11 p.m. local time (1111 GMT) on Saturday.
