Spot market electricity prices for Saturday, Sept 2

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Saturday will be 2,598.04 Turkish liras at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), according to official figures on Friday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,349.98 liras at 11 p.m. local time (2000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Saturday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 23.7% to around 1.05 billion liras compared to Friday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 1,948.21 liras and 1,958.83 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Friday was set at 2,700 Turkish liras between 9-11 a.m. (0600-0800 GMT) and 2-9 p.m. local time (1100-1800 GMT), while the lowest rate was set at 1,649.99 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).

US$1 equals 26.72 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Friday.
