Spot market electricity prices for Saturday, March 22

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Saturday will be 3,000 Turkish liras at 6 a.m. and between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time (0300, 1400-1900 GMT), according to official figures on Friday.

The lowest rate is set at 1,594.98 at 12 p.m and 1 p.m local time (0900, 1000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Saturday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 4.9% to around 1.57 billion liras compared to Friday.

The arithmetical and weighted average price of electricity for the day-ahead spot market is calculated as 2,584.90 liras and 2,578.37 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one-megawatt hour on Friday was set as 3,000 liras at 6 p.m., 8 p.m., and 9 p.m. local time (1500, 1700, 1800 GMT), and the lowest was set as 1,594.98 liras at 1 p.m. local time (1000 GMT).

US$1 equals 38.01 liras at 2.24 p.m. local time (1124 GMT) on Friday.
