Spot market electricity prices for Saturday, June 3

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Saturday will be 2,299.98 Turkish liras at 9 p.m. (1800 GMT), according to official figures on Friday.

The lowest rate was set at 750 liras at 12 p.m. (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Thursday’s electricity market showed a decrease of 27.7% to around 681.46 million liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 1,487.09 liras and 1,489.65 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Friday was set at 2,450 liras at 8 p.m. (1700 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 1,348.98 liras at 12 p.m. (0900 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 20.88 liras at 2.27 p.m. local time (1127 GMT) on Friday.
