Spot market electricity prices for Saturday, Jan. 13

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Saturday will be 2,649 Turkish liras at 6 p.m. (1500GMT), according to official figures on Friday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,248.98 liras at 01.00 a.m. local time (2200 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Saturday’s electricity market shows a decrease of 20.08% to around 1.27 billion Turkish liras compared to Friday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 1,983.98 liras and 2,034.43 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Wednesday was set at 2,700 liras at between 08.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. local time (0500 and 0800 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined as 1,497.98 liras at 11 p.m. local time (2200 GMT).

US$1 equals 30.09 liras at 2.34 p.m. local time (1134 GMT) on Friday.
