Spot market electricity prices for Monday, July 31

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Monday will be 2,599.99 Turkish liras at 7 p.m. (1600 GMT), according to official figures on Sunday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,650 liras at 5 a.m. (0200 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Sunday’s electricity market showed an increase of 45.3% to around 1.16 billion liras compared to Saturday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,170.96 liras and 2,192.93 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Sunday was set at 2,500 Turkish liras at 7 p.m. (1600 GMT), while the lowest rate was confirmed at 979.99 liras at 12 p.m. (0900 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 26.92 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Sunday.
