Spot market electricity prices for Monday, Jan. 23

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Monday will be 4,200 Turkish liras between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. (0500 – 0700 GMT) and 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. (1400 – 1600 GMT), according to official figures on Sunday.

The lowest rate was set at 3,051 liras at 3 a.m. (0000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Sunday’s electricity market showed an increase of 27.2% to 2.03 billion liras compared to Saturday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 3,629.57 liras and 3,672.49 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Sunday was set as 4,200 Turkish liras between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. (1400 – 1800 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined at 2,000 liras at 1 p.m. (1000 GMT), according to official figures.

US$1 equals 18.80 liras at 2.00 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Sunday.
