Spot market electricity prices for Monday, April 21

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Monday will be 3,400 Turkish liras between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time (1600-1900 GMT), according to official figures released on Sunday.

The lowest rate is set at 1255.01 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0800 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Monday’s electricity market shows an increase of 52.6% to around 1.61 billion liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices for electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated at 2,663.19 liras and 2,640.35 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price on the day-ahead spot market for one-megawatt hour for Sunday was set at 3,400 Turkish liras between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1600-1800 GMT), while the lowest at 58.31 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0800 GMT).

US$1 equals 38.078 liras at 2.12 p.m. local time (1112 GMT) on Sunday.
