Spanish La Liga leaders Barcelona beat Sevilla to go 8 points clear of Real Madrid

Spanish La Liga leaders Barcelona beat Sevilla 3-0 at home to go eight points clear of Real Madrid on Sunday.

Barcelona took the win thanks to second-half goals at Spotify Camp Nou.

In the 58th minute, Spanish left-back Jordi Alba scored the opening goal in the area for Barcelona.

After a killer pass by Raphinha, Gavi scored an easy chance to double the gap for Barcelona in the 70th minute.

Nine minutes later, Raphinha made a close-range finish after some teamwork as Barcelona won the match 3-0.

Barcelona increased their points to 53 in matchday 20 to go eight points clear at the top of the La Liga standings.

Second-place Real Madrid were beaten at Mallorca 1-0 earlier Sunday and the Whites have 45 points.

Sevilla is ranked 16th with 21 points.
