Türkiye saw 128,528 company establishments in 2023, down 8.3% on a yearly basis, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) said on Friday.
The figure includes 12,241 foreign-partnered companies, the confederation said in a statement.
As many as 12,519 companies were formed in December alone, while 5,952 got closed. The number of new foreign-partnered companies was 800 in the month.
In total, 25,883 companies were closed during the year, up 11.7% year-on-year.
