Sergio Aguero to return to professional football in guest appearance

ANKARA 

Former Barcelona and Manchester City attacker Sergio Aguero will return to professional football in a guest appearance.

The president of Ecuadorian club Barcelona SC Guayaquil, Carlos Alfaro Moreno, announced Sunday that Aguero will appear as the guest star for the Yellow Night 2023 event at the Banco Pichincha Stadium on Jan. 28.

Aguero moved to Barcelona in 2021 but had to retire from football this season due to a heart condition.

During his 10-year-spell in Manchester City, the former Argentina forward helped the club win the Premier League title five times in 2012, 2014, 2018, 2019 and 2021.
