Aryna Sabalenka from Belarus will face Czech Republic’s Karolina Muchova in the 2023 French Open (Roland Garros) semifinals in women’s singles.
World no. 2 Sabalenka, who won the Australian Open in January, beat Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina 6-4, 6-4 in a quarterfinal match at Paris’ Court Philippe-Chatrier on Tuesday.
Muchova, who ranks 43rd, won against Russia’s Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova with straight sets; 7-5, 6-2 in another quarterfinal match in the French capital.
The French Open will run through June 11.
