ISTANBUL
The head of Russia’s upper house of parliament arrived in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku on an official visit on Sunday.
A statement by the Federation Council on Telegram announced the arrival of its delegation headed by its speaker, Valentina Matviyenko, to the South Caucasus nation, where it said she will hold talks with political leadership.
The statement said Matviyenko will also attend a meeting of the interparliamentary commission on cooperation between Russian and Azerbaijani legislatures.
