Russia’s annual inflation down to 13.7% in September

ANKARA

Russia’s annual inflation fell to 13.7% in September from 14.3% in August, the country’s Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) announced on Friday.

The figure was slightly higher than the market forecasts of 13.6% gains, raising expectations that the Russian Central Bank would end its monetary easing.

Month-on-month, inflation rose 0.05% after a 0.52% fall in August.

According to the Central Bank’s forecast, annual inflation will go down to 11-13% in 2022, 5-7% in 2023, and 4% in 2024.
