Russia on Tuesday carried out 85 missile strikes across Ukraine, mostly targeting the country’s energy infrastructure, according to Ukraine’s president.
The energy system of the war-battered country was hit hard by the missile attacks, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed on Telegram, adding: “85 missile attacks were carried out throughout Ukraine, mostly aimed at energy infrastructure.”
He underscored that another 20 missile attacks could be coming, urging the public to stay in shelters.
Russia will not achieve its goal through these attacks, he stressed.
Ukrainian officials reported explosions in several cities, including Rivne, Lviv, Vinnytsia, and Kovel.
Parts of Rivne, the administrative center of the western Rivne region, were left without electricity after blasts at a critical infrastructure location, Mayor Alexander Tretyak said on Telegram.
