Real Madrid win 2022 FIFA Club World Cup by beating Al Hilal 5-3 in final

ANKARA 

Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid won the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup by beating Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal 5-3 in the final Saturday.

Vinicius Jr. opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 13th minute at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.

Five minutes later, Federico Valverde netted another for Los Merengues.

Al Hilal’s Moussa Marega took one back in the 26th minute to end the first half 2-1.

Karim Benzema netted for Real Madrid in the 54th minute and four minutes later, Valverde made it 4-1 for Los Merengues.

In the 63rd minute, Luciano Vietto scored a second goal for Al Hilal.

Vinicius netted another for Real Madrid in the 69th minute. Al Hilal’s Vietto responded 10 minutes later for the final goal of the match.

Real Madrid, which is the most successful team in the FIFA Club World Cup history, bagged their fifth title.
