Real Madrid seals dominant win against Girona in La Liga

ISTANBUL

Real Madrid secured a 3-0 win Saturday against Girona in week 16 of the Spanish La Liga.

Jude Bellingham broke the deadlock from close range at Municipal de Montilivi.

Real Madrid extended the lead with a goal from Arda Guler in the 55th minute, followed by Kylian Mbappe’s strike in the 62nd minute, securing a commanding victory.

Real Madrid are second with 36 points and Girona are eighth with 22 points after 16 matches.

Real Betis rescue 2-2 draw against Barcelona

Assane Diao came off the bench in the 77th minute to score a late equalizer for a 2-2 draw at Benito Villamarin.

Robert Lewandowski scored the opener in the 39th minute but Giovani Lo Celso converted a penalty shot to level the match in the 68th minute.

Ferran Torres retook the lead in the 82nd minute on an assist by Lamine Yamal.

Diao, 19, scored a 94-minute goal to secure the 2-2 draw for Real Betis.

Real Betis are 11th with 21 points while Barcelona are top of the table with 38.
