Qatar’s emir probes bilateral ties, regional issues with Saudi foreign minister

ISTANBUL

Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met on Tuesday with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan in the capital Doha.

Talks between the two sides took up bilateral ties and a host of regional and international issues of mutual concern, the state news agency QNA reported.

The top Saudi diplomat also met with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional issues, the Saudi state news agency SPA said.

Saudi Arabia resumed diplomatic relations with Qatar in January 2021 after signing a reconciliation agreement that brought down the curtain of the Gulf crisis that broke out in the summer of 2017.
